Workshop #1
Workshop #1
Explore how a basic trust in life gives rise to hope-filled presence. We’ll look at the two key pathways in meditation that nourish the grounds of hope: mindful presence and cultivating positive mind states by taking in the good. The session will end with a guided meditation called “Trusting the Gold” that awakens us to the sacred essence that shines through all of life.
Tara Brach
Tara Brach, PhD (she/her), has been teaching meditation since 1975, as well as leading workshops and meditation retreats at centers throughout North America and Europe. She has a PhD in clinical psychology, is the founder of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW), and is the author of Radical Acceptance (2003), True Refuge (2012), and Radical Compassion (2019).
Jack Kornfield
Jack Kornfield, PhD, trained as a Buddhist monk in Thailand, Burma, and India and has taught worldwide since 1974. He has written more than a dozen books including The Wise Heart, A Path with Heart, After the Ecstasy, the Laundry, and more.
Workshop #2
The Life Brief is the practice of leaning into curiosity, clarity, and creativity to drive personal change. This hands-on workshop uses intimate stories and penetrating questions to guide participants in boldly naming and declaring their hope. And since action is a by-product of clarity, getting clear about our hope is the first (and possibly most vital) action we can take towards realizing our vision for the future. This workshop will inspire people to unveil their truth, release their fears, and seize personal agency to act in service of hope and humanity.
Bonnie
Wan
Bonnie Wan is creator, speaker, and author of The Life Brief: Creative Strategies for No-Regrets Living. As a career brand strategist and partner at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Bonnie has spent the last three decades working with brand titans to define and articulate the essence of who they are, why they exist, and what they believe. In 2010, during a crisis of meaning, she wrote a creative brief for her life and The Life Brief was born. Bonnie’s Life Brief not only saved her marriage but kicked off ten years of family adventure filled with unexpected twists and unimaginable gifts.

So many amazing stories of people corporations governments deeply committed to creating a beautiful vibrant world of harmony balance and well being for our human family all sentient beings and our Mother Earth. Feeling so grateful for everyone’s dedication love and hope filled action! God Bless You Everyone. My next action step is to hold a giving thanks gathering to do joy filled ceremony for the Earth and Invocations of Impossible Glorious Possibility for our world. I am also inspired to create an on line course based on this summit ( especially for young people) to teach them how to harness the power of hope and use their brilliant inner resources to create a beautiful world from the inside out. Thank you so much. http://Www.gracemacleod.com
Thank you Jane, for providing this hope-filled forum of so many inspiring speakers. And thank you to each and every speaker for allowing your light to shine. May God/the force of the Universe be with each of you. Namaste
Thank you. I will engage in active hope – moving home so that I do not have a long commute to work every day and then cycling into work whenever possible. Growing more of our own food from saved seeds using compost to feed the plants. And protecting the land where I do have some control over what happens, not having a traditional garden.
To take at least one small step at a time in connecting with at least one person a day with positivity love and hopes for a bright future. Starting today. And repeated each day as often as possible.
Thank you for this inspiring program. I’m sorry I did not see all of the program but will review it after the fact. Thank you , all of you, for sharing your stories and wisdom with me. You have absolutely been a clear inspiration with this program and in many other ways over the years and a definite provider of much hope for a bright future for all. Today I am committed to start taking action to give/do whatever I can to be a part of the positive change our world needs and deserves. Yes Jane, “We can do this”.
Even as a floating blanket of CO2
thickens, Mother Earth is caring for us.
Oxygen floods our hearts and
the tiny fly dying in my bathroom sink
is a reminder of aln everlasting life force
as is walking from my bathroom
into my living room, or turning the ignition
key of my car. Mother Earth is lookiing after
the burning forests in America and
the paramedic ambulance workers
in my own drowning city.
My friend who is paralysed by
the trance of unworthiness
is being cared for by Mother Earth.
She sent a gift to him the other night
wrapped up in a dream. He remembers
a tortoise from long ago and how he’d place
Delight in a cardboard box filled
with scrunched up newspapers to keep him warm.
precious time spent listening and thinking through all interventions. gratitude to all who participated nd put it together. great sense of both responsibility and community. connection empowers. thank you
You give hope.thanksso much.for many years I feel so away from people.only my hope was my son.I now have a more higvision and I feel I’m not alone . I will action take caring of myself, my home, my life and my son.I am grateful because that message is really optimistic in Humanity.
This 4-day Hope summit truly inspirational. Gratitude to sponsors, all speakers, listeners and to Jane Goodall who models and encourages us to voice “together we can” and to act collectively “together we will”.
Very inspiring. This summit met me just in time. When I was in despair for personal reasons and for the dire global situation. It brought a glimpse of hope and light back into my heart, and I do intend to act upon it. So thank you all so very much.
One person alone cannot make a lot of change but everyone taking responsibility for what we can contribute personally will make all the difference in the world. I want that for my four great grandchildren and for all of mankind. We were granted such a majestic gift in this world. Let’s take care of it as it has taken care of us.
Thank you
Theresa

I want to join the zoom meeting today
I’m savoring today’s gifts slowly and have only seen Dr. Edith Eger so far. Some of my family were in concentration camps, too. Her spirit and hope that she’s developed are beyond inspiring! I’m so grateful for this session and I will hold her in my heart as the grandmother I didn’t get to have in biological life, but will adopt in spirit. Thank you! I’m going to buy her books.
Really inspiring, so beautiful. I especially love the last day. It is really amazing how positive thoughts and energy can stimulate healing .My hope is the same as many other people’s hope:
I hope for people to do the right thing and to not let greed take over their humanity
I hope that humans start to remember that they are human KIND and not human Cruel
I hope too that humans start to realize that animals are sentient beings and that any form of use, abuse, and exploitation needs to end. This includes so many ways that it is impossible to list. However, factory farming, breeding animals for murder must end now, all of which lead too to climate change and illness in our bodies.
Circuses must end, and zoos must close. No animal should be held in captivity and more and more sanctuaries need to open.
In addition, world wide we must stop animal experimentation, there are other means….the list goes on and on.
Probably one of the most important ways to change our world starts with the youth. Therefore Humane Education should be implemented in schools across the globe.
Thank you for a wonderful series. Thank you for caring
thank you all for helping me keep my head above ‘troubled’ waters
What a beautiful and inspiring 4 days! Deepest gratitude to everyone on the team. This free gift was so right on in this period of uncertainly, chaos and suffering. I hope many subscribers will support you by upgrading. I wish I could, but as a retired senior on a tiny SS check I can only send my thanks and blessings.
Jane Goodall gives me hope also!! She is so inspiring and has always been. What a beacon of light!
Ooh my goodness, thank you Bonnie Wan!!!! That was amazing, I have just spent 2 hours filling pages of reflections. More to do!
Seeing that Jane Goodall has not given up hope gives me hope. What an inspiration and light she is to our world.
Happy to be part of great talks
