In what ways are you embracing an engaged lifestyle? What is giving you purpose as you age?

  • Joni says:

I loved every single interview. Maria’s kind and listening approach matched and anticipated my feelings and my questions. I appreciate the honesty coming through from each person. Eugenia’s poems were the best creations to end the summit. I think that’s what I got from this week. Create. Continue creating, whatever that means to you.

  • Cathleen Harvey Wiggins says:

What a wonderful conference! I feel inspired, energized and quite happy to be alive. Alive with possibility, hope and gratitude for the many gifts right at our proverbial feet. Bravo to all who made this summit happen. Your are gifts to us all.

  • Sharon says:

To Maria and your summit guests,
Such joy and thanksgiving I have following your well – done and purposeful messages of embracing our aging lives!
Aging forward has always been right and good for me, and now, I feels extra excited that I am amongst a whole community of beautiful inspiring believers and doers!
Cheers to all in your time and place!
    Sharon

  • helene says:

i am a curious person, filled with zest and juiciness….two weeks ago a friend was diagnosed with rectal cancer and the news about ukraine is heart wrenching so i was flattened when this summit began…..maria, you gave me hope that i could learn to live with both grief and joy….that i needed to keep my love and joy thriving ….the speakers you chose were all wonderful but it is your skill as an interviewer that made this summit magical.and inspirational and doable…you know exactly what questions to ask…i feel like i’ve been touched by an angel…..thank you ❤️

  • Marla says:

Thank you Maria for this very purposeful week!
My mom suffers from Alzheimer’s, so this Summit resonated with me for so many reasons! I learned so much and this week became my joy – always looking forward to the speakers and tuning in for important information!…
I was able to PAUSE to watch & listen, which in turn I found was a great tip that came out of the summit- I wish I knew what supplements you take bc I’ve been searching for ones to target myself as my “insurance policy”!”😊
Hoping to have another summit soon!
    Thanks again!

  • Midge Grady says:

Very very enjoyable! As a nurse practitioner in adult mental health,I particularly enjoyed day 4 & 5. The emphasis on the advances in science & importance of brain health was informative @ appreciated! So much of healthcare emphasizes medications. Most people do not realize there are so many tools that can help them that do NOT have the risk of side effects!
Maria….your approach as the moderator….always circling back to practical application was so perfect & appreciated! Finally, the skill you evidenced with the amusing but challenging Mr. William Shatner was brilliant 😀

  • Ellen says:

The pandemic gave me time and quiet and an awakening to being not just doing – for everyone. Meditation, morning/evening gratitude prayers, bible readings, walks in nature, spiritual knowledge seeking are all now part of my daily being. Preparing organic healthy meals to be healthy and present for our 8 grandchildren is important to us.
I enjoyed your summit, hearing others experiences . Falling through a cloud . So lovely.
    Life is good.

  • Kathy says:

I enjoyed my week so much listening to you, Maria, and all the incredible speakers. Picked up some great tips to incorporate into my life. Thanks ever so much.♥️

  • Sue says:

This was such a gift. Thank you for making this available. So many notes taken. I got to enjoy it with my bestie. We continue to compare notes.
    Thank you Maria.

  • Carolyn Gumbrecht says:

Thank you Maria Shriver and Sounds True for this INCREDIBLE offering!! 🙏🏻 Your authenticity and inner (and outer!!) beauty have inspired me. I am 59 and have been in the helping profession as a special education teacher and now a family therapist (which I pursued at age 46) my entire adult life. I’ve been wondering, “What’s next?” and this summit has given me a HUGE boost ☀️!! I feel encouraged to keep looking, learning and trusting because of all the things you and your guests have shared. I gained something from every speaker and couldn’t wait to hear your voice and see your light, which shines so brightly, each day! Feeling SO grateful and deeply aware of the love that surrounds us if we continue to do the work to stay present, appreciative and open. THANK YOU from my whole heart!!! ✨✨✨❤️❤️❤️🌱🌱🌱

  • Beth Waldron says:

SHRIVER MEDIA YES & YAY such excellence and inspiration and thoughtful questions and brilliant minds….Ready for the next one! Much gratitude!

  • Karen says:

I just turned 62 and found it depressing. I’ve been contemplating my life and feel like I am counting my days. I am so thankful to have found this inspiring summit and I’m in awe of Maria and the many speakers who are looking forward with the attitude of the best is yet to come. Thank you for lifting me up and turning my attitude around. God Bless!

  • Kas says:

I will continue to be involved in animal welfare and rescue. I, also, will continue to find classes, seminars, summits and writings that interest me. I really appreciate that this summit was offered for free. I wish more of them would do the same. Thanks to commenter Joni for mentioning the OSHER program. I’ll look into it. Like another commenter, Carol, I have been interested in eastern medicine and would like to see more of this offered. I am doing much of what has been mentioned but really need to work on my sleep habits. I will continue to tweak my research and efforts into my own aging and learning. I appreciated the Lipman and Suzuki session today as I feel that health is an individualized, concerted effort for any age. Marie…you are an articulate and insightful interviewer. It made this summit more in-depth and interesting. Thanks, also, to the commentators. We learn from each other!

  • Leesa says:

Thank you for everything and everyone that provided their knowledge, ideas, thoughts and inspiration during these 5 days of aging!
    With much gratitude!

  • Meg says:

I found all 5 days of this summit to be so inspirational, informative, and hopeful! Thank you Maria and guests!

  • Linda Greenup says:

Thank you for all these beautiful reminders to stay active and involved ❣️

  • Linda Greenup says:

At 73 I am learning how to sail, and am studying Astrology and giving readings. I keep looking for ways to engage and stay living in a world that sees me as “old”.

  • Linda says:

Thank you so much for the entire summit! A deep bow of respect and gratitude… and I am inspired to play on

  • Elizabeth says:

My heart is sad that this series has come to an end.
    Thank you, Maria!

  • Linda says:

Ive enjoyed the series and have learned a lot. One thing to suggest: when Maria mentioned ages she would say 50s 60,s and infrequently add 70s or 80s or 90s. She omitted a large population of listeners.

  • Maureen says:

Thank you for this “jump start!”
I will surround myself with happy people, & finally push through my comfort zone💕

  • Lynn says:

Thank you so very much for bringing together so many inspiring people who shared their experiences and wisdom, so that we can all learn and grow together. This was so very enjoyable!

  • Therese says:

I am reinventing myself everyday by being open to new opportunities.
I appreciated all the speakers and their expertise as I aspire to age with dignity and hope.

Thank you for your work and positive energy in bringing this workshop to us.

  • Karen Guzowski says:

Maria, This whole summit was simply wonderful. So much wisdom, expertise, inspiration, and humor. The main thread seems to be, good sleep, move every day, and eat a healthy diet. I bought the whole extended package through Sounds True, so I’ll be able to reference this again and again. Thank you and your team for doing this. With light, Karen

  • Dee says:

Thanks Maria, This has confirmed that I am on the right track and has also given me some new inspiring tips.

  • Linda Jansen says:

Maria I am so so grateful I caught the last 5 speakers from this summit. How timely for me at 75 and feeling anxious! Thanks you ever so much. Bless you! 🤗❤️🙏💕

  • jacqueline Simms says:

This conference is excellent!. Thank you Maria and Sounds True. We appreciate your support and providing a format to starting many conversations.
This opportunity creates awareness, invites curiosity, confirms what some of us already are aware of and are curious about, We have heard curiosity is one practical key to aging well. The conference information and speakers invite reflections, offers practical strategies to support the reframing of aging, to include our own mind set as well as societal practices/routines and expectations. The speakers were all awesome.
I appreciate the conference information and support to keep growing mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Thank you so much. Stay safe and wonderful.

  • Dinalee says:

Bravo, Eugenia Zukerman! The delicious cherry on top of an inspiring week.

  • Latane Barton says:

I am an 88 year old woman who for the past decade has strived to live to the fullest. This summit has been so uplifting, educational and a life-changer for me. Thank you, Maria for the insight and inspiration,

  • Nilah Cote says:

Vermont’s Aging Well Organization has sponsored training seniors to teach tai chi to other seniors. I am totally engaged both in taking classes and teaching tai chi classes on zoom. Soon, I will be back to in-person teaching and growing communities for people who want to enhance their health. As I move toward my eighties, I have a purpose to learn, grow and move!

  • Nilah Cote says:

I have enjoyed every day of your summit and all your wonderful guests. This message for reframing aging in our culture is badly needed. Thank you for your incredible interviewing skills. You are truly gifted in making these conversations come alive!

  • Kathleen says:

As someone who recently retired at the age of 70, and who lives alone I found this conference to be so inspiring. I have been thinking so much about my purpose and listening to all these speakers has really opened my eyes as to what I am still capable of doing. Thank you so much.

  • Fionnuala delap says:

Thank you for sharing these talks and so valuable and much appreciated
    Fionnuala ireland

  • Deborah Mayer says:

I love what a superb interviewer you are. Today your interview with Rob Lowe was the BEST. Personal experience trumps the science for me. More stories, more places to share stories.

  • Charlotte Edgar says:

Maria Shriver, thank you for bringing together all of these interesting and informed people for our pleasure and enhancement. You and your guests and their influence is what will change our mindset on aging for ourselves and for .society. And now I will carry on with more fervour for my life and try to help others see they have freedom to chose so much.
    Charlotte Edgar

  • Rosemarie says:

Thank you for all this impactful information! The presentors were great and Maria, your bring help to so many!

  • Carol Scott says:

Thanks Maria 💜👍🏼🌅 I love the sessions I got to hear. Great speakers and information. If you do this again, I’d love to hear from some Eastern medicine experts. Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic medicine have long proven histories of success. They have been life saving for me! Many people are unaware of these options and could benefit greatly from the information. Chinese herbs can ease the side effects of chemotherapy. Once again THANK YOU 🙏 👼🎉 Have a fabulous day!

  • Pat Regan says:

Thank you Maria!!!Each day I couldn’t wait to hear the next session. You have given me a new way to imagine my aging. I am a newly retired RN, so the medical information was particularly interesting. I am starting on NMN and resveratrol . Say “yes” to life and be playful! Please do more of these types of presentations. You are helping so many people.

  • Phyllis says:

Thank you Maria for the year a beautiful work here. All of your speakers have enhanced my idea of aging. By the way I have recommended your Mosh bars to all of the people on David Sinclair‘s Facebook page.

  • Joni Greenwell Bycroft says:

I don’t know why you offered this symposium to us for free, and I admit, I was cynical when it started. But, THANK YOU! I learned a lot, and appreciate your generosity in providing this information. I’m adding the suppliments Dr. Sinclair takes, (resveratrol, NMN and Metformin), and commiting to walking outside daily.

When I retired from work 5 years ago, I began a search for purpose. I’ve decided, I don’t really NEED a purpose, just interesting opportunities to study and learn. Are you familiar with the OSHER program? College classes (on campuses all around the country), offered to people over 50 years old for a deeply discounted tuition.

Again, thank you for the symposium. You’re an angel for providing it. I’m looking forward to your next offering.

    • Nance says:

Joni as I understand it SOUNDS TRUE offers many podcasts, talks and summits for free so that they are accessible to all. I’m deeply grateful for these offerings that I otherwise would not be able to take in..

  • Carolyn Newman says:

Wonderfully informative ! It it seems without knowing it I’ve been marching to the right music. My love for sports my whole life has led the way so I’ve been moving and also helping others to move in my professional career. I’m in the octogenarian set now I don’t know how I got here so fast! I’ve been an early riser my whole life I enjoy the quietness in the morning and live high enough up so when the sun’s out it pours all over my living space. Because I no longer work I get up later and have breakfast at 11 and dinner at six. So it seems I pulled the lucky card out of the deck so far. Your guests have been most informative and delightful to listen to and more important to learn from. Thank you for your effort to share with us the knowledge of these very informed people.

  • Jacqueline R Tullo says:

The reading by Zuckerman – So beautiful! So beautiful!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thank you for ALL of these programs, these 5 days. Have enjoyed immensely.
Highlights: Jamie Lee Curtis – a breath of fresh air. William Shattner – so honest, so courageous, so full of life.
I can relate to him so easily. A Joy emanates from him, from his simple, life giving Truth amidst the sea of oftentimes conflicting feeling. Fear yes I have it, but I am now inspired to keep saying .”yes!!”
Thank you Maria. This has been a beautiful uplifting, inspirational program. Thank you!!

  • Teresa Tames says:

Maria Elena Salinas, BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO and Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

  • Annabel says:

I look forward to playing the recorded sessions. Please confirm how I access them. I purchased premium access. Thank you.

  • JC says:

What an amazing gathering of experts! Thank you so much putting this together. I especially loved the session with Deepak Chopra and Goldie Hawn. I am adopting DP’s mantra: Love in action! The force session was also fascinating, but really emphasized the advantage that wealth brings to longevity. Although most people can adapt habits of healthy eating and exercise, only the wealthy can take advantage of the supplements that seem to impact longevity. Perhaps someday…

  • Delfina says:

This has been a really brilliant summit – thank you for sharing this knowledge with so many, Maria!

  • Donna says:

Thank you for the summit. I’ve been employed for decades as a social worker serving older adults and been witness to a lot of “worse case scenarios,” cautionary tales, and people with major end-of-life regrets, which has been a source of anxiety about my own future. Good to be reminded that it doesn’t have to be that way and that small, consistent choices about sleep, movement, food, mindset, staying connected to others and sense of purpose can make a big difference. Loved the practical enthusiasm of the expert panel today and the theme of action being an antidote for anxiety and fear.

  • Lindsay says:

    Thankyou.
