  • Helen, C Hills, CA says:

I enjoyed the session 1 guests most as their information was critical. I thank you for insisting that they address issues of single people as for the first time in the US, single people outnumber those married. Singles have issues to consider, in particular having someone to call in an emergency.

Thanks, Maria. Loads of respect for you.

  • Lisa Cordero Gutierrez says:

    Maria!!! Sessions 1-6. AMAZING!!
Thank you on tackling on such a sensitive and necessary issues.
I am 55 single, No children (Divorced) and May I add taking care of Mama Dukes at 75 years old and watching, assisting.. my Sister, who is now battling breast Cancer at age 49.
These interviews and professional Guests were so pivotal and have provided such incredible insight on Reframing age and aging forward. Health and Finance in every sense of the word. Again, THANK YOU!!
    Lisa, Ruskin Fl.

  • Cris says:

Another wonderful program. Please, please check out Ashley Black fasciablasting for your sesmoiditis. I had a similar issue and a product called the Fasciablaster got me walking correctly again!! It is a grade I medical device.

  • Tania Anthony says:

Thank you so much Maria wonderful interviews

  • Mary Perez says:

What a wonderful program Maria! My husband and I have enjoyed the programs. It gave us a real wake up call to start planning our future now. Not wait until it is to late.

  • Terrii says:

    I can’t hear today’s session!!!

  • carol says:

Another great day! Session 2! Never knew about the Martha Stewart Foundation for Living, what a great place for seniors to go. She is so active at the age of 81 and doesn’t think of the places that she has been but thinks of the places that she has not ever been and wants to go there instead of going to Hawaii over and over again and sitting on a chair! As others have said that creativity keeps you alive or you become stagnate! Session 1 speakers were also very inspiring with so much information.

  • Deb McBride says:

Oh my goodness sakes did that is this really happening… WoW!
Thank You Maria and Martha , Sharon and Kara!
My community and interest has always been parallel to what you are showing me. Now I get to continue good habits enhanced with all of your research and assistance.

  • Bruce Jensen says:

A wonderful series, inspiring and uplifting for me at age 85. Thank you so much.
It would be helpful if citations of web sites could be provided in a written format.

  • Marlene says:

Great talks; interesting and informative. Most everyone, over the last 6 days, have never considered retiring. I’m with you all on that. Love what Martha’s Ctr for Living at Mt. Sinai has to offer. I remember her Mom being on her TV show sometimes, and they genuinely seemed to get along well. That was nice to see.

  • Charlotte Bedard says:

    Breakthroughs to higher powers.

  • Dona Atcheson says:

Very inspiring. At 92 I found I had a lot in common with what Martha advocated.
Keep learningI started French lessons on line & haven’t missed a day in over 2 years.I start my day basically the way she does.Basically I agree with everything she said. It works for her & it’s working for me!

  • Mira Zeimer says:

Maria, everyone you have interviewed has been inspiring, but you are the most inspiring. You sought out all these amazing people and encouraged the conversation. You are my hero and I am old at 77.

  • Nadege Powers says:

    What an inspiration. Quelle Femme!
Enjoyed her conversation and learning about her center for aging individuals is so hopeful for the future.

  • Linda Berg says:

I love the mentioning of the benefits of the exercise program ,Silver Sneakers. Silver Sneakers has made a huge positive impact on my life. I love to exercise and the members form an enthusiastic ,supportive community. I take the classes online through zoom, but I would like to participate in the classes at a health club.

  • Sheryl says:

All the talk about staying curious, interested, moving your body, eating nutritious foods, nurturing community relationships has been very inspiring. The one thing I can’t seem to ever find any guidance for is how to survive financially NOW that I did not start saving or investing. Everyone says, you need to start investing in your 20’s. That is probably true, but I am 66. Is the answer that “You just deserve what you got, you dummy, you should have thought about this sooner…” I need advice that is relevant to where I am at this age. If it is true my life span could be 30 more years (and I hope so, I am in pretty good health), then HELP!! I don’t want to starve. Or live in a box under the local bridge.

  • Karen Perry says:

So inspired by Martha’s mindset and additude…
Realizing she had a leg up on many of us financially ..which helps lots..🤪

  • Electa Anderson says:

    Maria,

I think one the most important messages you are offering to all of us is that at each stage in life we should, and can, embrace reinventing ourselves.

Martha has been the queen of reinventing herself. She never disappoints and always surprises! I think she has been at the pinnacle of her career at every stage… what an amazing accomplishment!

Thank you, Maria. Your skillful interviews, questions and recaps have brought out the best in everyone and it is a joy to feel connected with both you and the person you are interviewing. Your humor and laughter is just the frosting on the cake!

  • Annette Weber says:

Always looking for new opportunities.. Hanging out with younger people. Knowing that everything and anything IS possible!!

  • Patricia Vantine ( Patricia A Vantine ) says:

All the talks were Excellent and motivating!

  • Terry Myrrdin says:

Gratitude. Reminding yourself of your blessings, especially during any time of stress or crisis. Being able to reframe any stress or crisis and find the positive lesson to be learned. You can reframe your thoughts on anything to be a positive rather than a negative.

  • Laura J Blackwell says:

Again, such great info from your guest speakers. Info i will use to continue living an ageless life.

  • Cheryl Raimondo says:

    Learn new things every day.
Surround yourself with the love and support of friends
Stay as active as you are able
Keep a youthful spirit! Hang around young children!
    Be mindful…and grateful
I wasn’t sure if this was the place to comment on the speakers.. Maria, this forum was so welcome in my life. Having recently retired I am so thrilled to hear how so many have taken their next chapter to find their passion and to feel so many of the same emotions that I am experiencing. Dr Maoroon and Dr. Sinclair inspired me to do research and to want to know more about healthy aging and longevity. Annie Lamott inspired me with her humor and attitude towards life and spirituality. Martha Stewart, displayed an entire side that has been so hidden from the public. Her wit and her intellect and drive are over the top but admirable.. Maria…thank you so much for making this happen and for your own insights and ability to ask the questions that we all want the answers for!

  • Mary Ann says:

Please make these videos accessible another week! I want to hear every one but it is difficult to find time every day as life happens! And there is so much to absorb and ponder. Every session is invaluable. Thank you for sharing. ❤️

  • Kathy says:

Wonderful session with all three ladies. Martha Stewart is an inspiration.

  • Mary E. Pembleton says:

She has real-world/now solutions for super seniors:
Oh, my, my, my, me! What an inspiration. Indeed, Martha Stewart was like a breath of fresh air. At age 81, she exudes the true meaning of wisdom with her dead-pan flair for humor. Though serious, she does not take herself too seriously which verifies her authenticity. She is creative, curious and solution oriented. Yes, she is rich, famous, and influential; most importantly, she is aware of the hardworking older generation who are greatly in need of her Center for Living. That is what I call focusing on real-world problems, inconjunction with physically offering much needed everyday solutions that many of us are facing daily. For this 82-year-old widow, the discussion of diet and money nearly falls on deaf ears. While I respect and do not disagree with the medical, money and exercise gurus, I have heard most of it. However, finding a facility like Martha’s center offering hands-on solutions is like striking gold. I certainly wish such a facility were near me. I am well aware such an endeavor takes money, charity, and influence. I certainly hope more of our well-to-do citizens will pick up her banner of altruism. Much love and blessings to you dear Martha. I love your spirit.

  • Joann says:

Just wondering why I’m not getting the extra guest like Jamie Lee Curtis? Was I to have paid to hear them too?!

  • Diane W says:

Ladies, if you haven’t discovered Yamuna, in NYC, and her programmes for optimising the body, you have a resource for restoring your (and Anne Lamott’s) feet to function and good form at our ages. She focuses on all of the body and is a genius at what she does. I have used her programmes for injury recovery and for health for many years. A genuinely invaluable resource for ANYONE of ANY AGE. Yamunausa.com

I think this is another amazing woman who is aging in ways that most of us cannot even imagine is possible. If you do another Summit like this one someday, Maria, please consider asking Yamuna to be one of your guests. She and her work has a lot to offer all of us, at any age and particularly at advanced ages.

  • Élise says:

Your feet need to be acknowledged and cared for, as they have and still take You where You wanna go…

  • Amy says:

Maria, Thank you for putting this summit on. Loved it. You are such a beautiful soul and talented interviewer.

  • Laura Plaia says:

I understand what Sharon is saying about needing to have disability insurance and life insurance, and the need to re-prioritize, so that you can be able to afford it. But in all honesty, as a woman of 57 who has been divorced for the last nine years I had to re-enter the workforce after the divorce and even though I had a degree, I was left with no choice, but to accept a job at $12 an hour. I have had to hit fast forward in progressing up my career ladder. But even still, there’s no way I can afford health, disability, or life insurance being a freelancer . What about people like us who really aren’t spending extra on anything? My car is paid off, I haven’t had a vacation in years, and I’m very frugal with my spending. It’s just disheartening that the assumption is made that we are spending in areas that we don’t necessarily need to. It seems very out of touch for Sharon to make that comment.

  • ellen says:

great guests, great information. could you please send along contact information on all of your guests books, online media. I wasnt able to find the money 101 sign up from Sharon Epperson

  • Anne M Watson says:

Travel to stay in a new culture at least 6 months, to make friends in new places.

  • Madeleine says:

Make the effort to … continue to create a joyful and creative life
    Stay Curious
    Never give up

  • Linda Brinkman says:

I would love to continue talking about this presentation. Maybe then we could get the resource list from all the speakers. What do you think about this idea?

  • Christina P says:

Martha Stewart is certainly inspiring. I like her messages about aging gracefully, independently, and healthy. I did note however she did not touch on volunteerism among older people. Yes, we are slowly becoming the dominant group in our society. And, being of service to others is a wonderful way to feel good about our selves and at the same time help others. Also she talks about hanging out with younger people. I found these words contradictory to other points she makes about aging. What about hanging out with people in your own age group? Maria, this has been a great forum—informative and inspiring. I love the way you skillfully asks relevant questions and guide the different speakers along. Thank you!

  • Linda Brinkman says:

It’s this constant curiosity that drives me. I have been a lifetime learner. I just love to learn about new things.

  • TuffyB says:

What seems essential? A sense of humor, appreciation for our ability to learn, a willingness to let go and a cultivated awareness that all is as it should be. I heard Dr. David Simon once say that it is only our resistance that holds us back from a better life experience. We may not be able to cure every problem in life, but we can alleviate our suffering in some form or fashion. Love Martha’s spirit! I’m not working to grow old either….well said, Martha! I’ve been an inspired fan since your first book and look forward to creating with you well into the future.

  • Marlene says:

Thankfully, my 34 year old son has become far more financially literate than I ever was or am. Income over a working lifespan for me has not produced a viable retirement savings account. When you work for an hourly wage throughout your life and life throws you not just one curveball but several, you find that there is precious little for saving. You do what you can do. I know that I will have to find a little something to continue to bring money into my household after retirement; however, the what, the when, and for how long will be of my discerning decision. The important takeaway for me is that I have to be healthy enough to do so. Thank you, again, to Maria Shriver, Sounds True, and the presenters for sharing this information and helping to stimulate my brain and move my body.

  • Nancy says:

Loved Martha’s session. Sharon’s session was hard to listen to because it was to intense. TX for these programs.

  • Carleen says:

    Very very interesting

  • LauraB says:

I’m not 65 yet so I’m not on medicare yet but I have people telling me that medicare does not cover hearing aids which of course she would need at that age and that it’s not covering dental is a fringental so they know Darren well in the government in this country what you need when you get older and they are not covering it and that is a real problem. Seniors can’t afford to pay for these things on their own and they’ve worked hard all their life. Not to mention that people in the government actually have different insurance and it’s very good so the senators and the Congress people get things we don’t get and then they don’t give us what we need in medicare and medicaid and disability. When you go on disability you don’t have a job where you would normally have your insurance and they don’t give you insurance when you get disability for the ability for 2 years and that is just ridiculous. So we need a major reform in this country.

  • LauraB says:

Martha mentions doctor Brent ridge and yes he was the youngest person leading a geriatric center at Mount Sinai and she pulled him into her business and then in 2008 her company eliminated his position and many other jobs many other jobs and he had a mortgage on a farm that he owned in New York and he had a Goat farmer on his farm and they decided to take goat milk and make bars of soap because they had to pay their mortgage and either mortgage and he and the man in his life also lost his job at the same time so they made the goat milk soap and it spawned into a whole company and brand. When she talks I don’t think she really tells you the whole story that she basically eliminated his job and he was fired and and he had to go somewhere else.

  • LauraB says:

I think that Maria should be providing in the notes the URL for this newsletter or this that and the other thing all these things people are saying should have been written down for us as the key take away from their presentations. I don’t have all of this written down stopping recording going backward it’s not easy to go backwards and try to get it again. I feel like that’s a big step missing from this program that Maria should have done it or sounds true should have done it and if someone has written a book then that needs to be in the notes what their book was they’re saying something’s in their book that should be listed so we can go and then look for these resources. And if they’re telling us which tests to get from the doctor for inflammation that should be in a bulleted list for us. So many things that were discussed should have been written down as take ways for us in a document. That’s a huge disappointment for me with this series. And those questions weren’t asked of people who said there are good creams and lotions OK we see their beautiful and young looking what are the creams and lotions and yes you’re going to have to tell us what the brand is that you’re using doesn’t mean there isn’t something else and it doesn’t mean you’re necessarily endorsing it but if you used it and you got a good result why won’t you tell us what it is and we’ll try it and then we’ll look for competitive products if it doesn’t work. I know you don’t want to give free advertising to other companies. But isn’t this supposed to be an exchange of useful information. I found that goat milk skin care products make me look younger and feel better and the brand that I learned all this from is beekman 18 0 2. Sold on HSN and QBC and at the company’s own website own website and then you can look for other sources of goat no products because some of these are more expensive. But they last a very long time and a little goes a long way.

  • LauraB says:

When I was going through menopause nobody was talking about it and I was out on Facebook sharing my experiences and asking questions and we need to talk about things like that. We also need to talk about money and finances and I ask everyone I know do you have a recommendation for ACP a and someone who can advise about taxes and a financial adviser and a financial adviser and I ask about housekeepers and cleaning services and nutritionists and functional medicine practitioners and good doctors and amazingly everyone I know has no recommendations whatsoever and it is so frustrating because some people are keeping the information secret like their housekeeper information Which is just amazing to me that everyone has a housekeeper and won’t share info so you can find out if they can also take you on and no one wants to talk about any of these things and families of other generations didn’t share their health concern’s And you don’t know who had watch and what you might get. We have to stop keeping secrets and every one of us has to go out there and talk about it and get others to talk about it and I tried and I shared everything and no 1 would share a thing back. And my mother died at 60 and she was still going through menopause and I don’t have a clue what all she was going through because I was married at the time and I wasn’t here with her and she didn’t share. And whatever happened to your mother is probably what’s gonna happen to you. And my parents never advise me on anything about finances nor did you get that in your high school classes how to do a budget and what do you need to invest in in terms of term life insurance or this or that and insurance for a car. And it’s impossible to figure out cell phone plans and what to do and so many things are complex and nobody’s teaching anybody about these things and it’s through trial-and-error that we learn and then no one wants to share because we got taken advantage of through trial-and-error and we don’t want to tell people.

  • LauraB says:

Yes, once you have one auto immune disorder like my multiple sclerosis you do get another 1 and now I have inverse psoriasis. And yes we all do not have spouses to help us and I am single with no spouse and no children and no family to help. It is very scary. I do not want to live more years. I just want good quality for the years I have because I do not have enough money for more years. And I don’t have any one to live for. I do not have children and grandchildren I do not have family I do not have a spouse or partner or boyfriend. But I can say yes Diana do not recessitate because what would you be recessitating me for? What what is there that I haven’t accomplished in life? I just need to be happy and healthy for a certain number of years and with 2 diseases you cannot you cannot eliminate symptoms or the disease disease so quality of life is definitely lodefinitely lower and it costs more to live because you need help from everyone and if you have groceries delivered to you they Jack up the price of every item. I can’t drive anymore so I have to pay someone to drive me somewhere in my Van and it’s $25 an hour for her fee and a 4 hour minimum so $100 minimum for anything I want to do even if it takes less than 4 hours. If you’re in a wheelchair like me and you need a vehicle with a ramp or a lift cab companies don’t have that available so I can’t pay can’t pay the low rate that everyone else pays to take transportation somewhere.

  • LauraB says:

I did start saving in retirement plans at age 25 and I am 62 now so I had the years of compounding but I don’t earn the salaries that rich people earn. The highest salary I ever made in my life was a $103000 a year after working somewhere for 10 years and then they let all of us go and I had to go back to a $70000 sa cent dollar salary and I am working my way backup but I will never get back to that level. And I am 62 so advice to tell me to save early and do Roth does not help me because I am already 62 and my money is not in roth And Roth wasn’t available when I started working so I will have to pay taxes. And even though I look at my budget and try to cut out everything that isn’t essential I am being forced to pay for the food in the dining room even though it is not nutritious and I don’t eat it and I have to bring in my own food and I don’t use their housekeeper who does not clean the rooms and I have my own and I have to pay extra for the Internet to have the capability I need to keep doing my job from home on the computer and their cable does not allow you to record anything and you have to watch live on a dish so I have YouTube TV with the unlimited DVR and for the 1st year here I couldn’t watch TV because I’m working my job and then nothing is on during the time that I’m available or 2 things are on at the same time and I was very depressed because I had watched tv all my life And now with the YouTube I can record things and watch them later and I am so much happier but that is $65 a month plus I have Amazon prime and HBO Max and Netflix that I all had before the YouTube TV. Everyone says cut the cable cord and streaming is cheaper but it is not you have to pay for every individual thing. I don’t hear people giving advice for someone in my position where I hand where I had a million dollars last December and now it’s less than 800000 and I and I have to pay 8000 a month and yes long term care is covering it now and for the 1st few years until that money runs out and then I have to go then I have to go to the Ira which is all the previous job 401K And pull it out and pay taxes and then it’s not there earning money. I am scared to death and I don’t know what to do. And when you need a conversion Van to move you in the wheelchair that industry cheats you every which way and now I have a huge loan own as that was a $100000 vehicle for a simple Chrysler Pacifica to get a ramp and get the vehicle made to travel in your happy electric wheelchair that weighs 400 pounds empty. I still owe 45000. It is more than a 1000 a month. Yes I refined it to get a lower rate when I could.

  • LauraB says:

I have multiple sclerosis and there is no diet that will prevent this disease or reverse this disease or make it any better other than just eating good nutritious food to be healthy and have some energy and some strength. It is not right for someone to say oh you can eat yourself out of a disease. No you cannot. I have been eating healthy for years and organic and n9nMo and no gluten and Anne’s low salt and low sugar trying for no sugar And I don’t eat bread or the pasta or the rice or the potatoes except for the sweet potatoes and I’m eating lean proteins and fish and vegetables and fruits And no and I biotics or hormones or dairy and the list goes on. And this does not do anything to relieve my multiple sclerosis or its symptoms. And now I have incontinence and I can’t control the bladder and I don’t have a bowel movement everyday. And I have gained weight after 5 years in the wheelchair because I can’t stand and walk and use the large muscle groups because I have very little control control over the lower part of my body.

    • Christine Peters says:

You must look into LDN for MS. Low dose Naltrexone. There’s a Podcast FULL of success stories from pharmacist and physicians.

  • LauraB says:

My retirement money of course has declined in value due to the last year and the economy so when you struggle all your life to save a million dollars then boom $250000 disappears in an instant and how long will it take to come backup and we really need that money. We also didn’t plan to have money at age 62 that I am to live 30 more years. If I were an able body person my money definitely would have lasted because I paid off my mortgage early and I had no debt but now I’m in assisted living and in a wheelchair and I don’t have enough money for 30 years and I have sold my hold my home and this is a big problem in this country that assisted living here for me is $8000 a month and that’s a $100000 a year so a million dollars is not going to last very long. Where do we go when what do we do then when we need help and we can’t get good home healthcare help and we have to leave our home to go to a facility. I do have long term care insurance but there’s a lifetime maximum to the money they will reimburse you for and it is disappearing quickly. Mine is $620000 but it costs $100000 to be in this facility AM this is not counting inflation and increases in prices and they’ve had 2 in the 1st year I am here. So what do I do.

  • LauraB says:

We’re always hearing people say they are functional medicine practitioners on the PB S shows or wherever but when you go to find your own you find out there aren’t any in your area or the 1 or 2 you find who are out there are not in your insurance netyour insurance network an insurance really is behind The Times on this. This is a major frustration for me that I cannot find a functional medicine practitioner in my geographic area covered by covered by my insurance so I can go see this person and get a holistic perspective.

We recommend the most recent version of Safari for Mac users or Google Chrome for PC users (with a second choice of Firefox). We do not recommend using Internet Explorer—but if you must, please use version 11 or higher.

How do I access my bonuses?

To access Realization Unfolds: A Conversation between A.H. Almaas and Adyashanti, you will need to:

    • Log in to your Sounds True account
    • Click on “Digital Library” (located in the maroon navigation bar at the top right of the page)
    • Click on “Online Courses” (located on the left side of the page)
    • Find Realization Unfolds: A Conversation between A.H. Almaas and Adyashanti
    • Click on “go to course”

I already have the bonus in my library. Can I substitute it for something else?

Unfortunately, it is part of the bundle, and substitutions are not allowed.

Can I download the course audio or video content to a computer or mobile device?

You can download the audio/video content onto your computer or Android mobile device. With the exception of eBooks, Apple has restrictions that prevent items from being downloaded directly to iOS devices, unless purchased from iTunes or Apple. Digital items may be downloaded to your computer and then synchronized to your iOS device via iTunes. Courses are also available to stream within the Sounds True App.

Can I stream the live sessions from a computer or my mobile device?

Live sessions are viewable on Mac and PC. You can stream them on Android and Apple mobile devices through the browser. If you are not using WiFi, please check with your mobile carrier, as additional data rates may apply.

How do I know what time live sessions start if I live abroad or in a different time zone?

All events are Eastern Time unless otherwise noted. Here is the schedule. Please use a time zone converter of your choice or thetimezoneconverter.com.

Why is the video player blank, or why can’t I hear it?

    Player solutions:

    • The session has not started. Please wait a few minutes.
    • Try refreshing your browser window or clearing your browser’s cache.
    • If the broadcast stops or you see a black screen, try refreshing your browser window.
    • If you are using a Windows PC, we recommend using the Google Chrome web browser.
    • If you are on a Mac, we recommend using the Safari web browser.
    • If you can’t hear anything, check the two places your volume is controlled. One is your video player and the other is your computer.

Are the sessions live or prerecorded?

The course videos are prerecorded. Videos noted as “Live” are live.
